Mrs Ibironke Famakinwa is the Director Public Affairs at Office of Public Private Partnerships, Governor’s Office, Alausa, Lagos. A focused, results-oriented professional with over 20years multi-sector experience delivering impactful performances. She previously worked with the Honorable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, where she was responsible for the speeches, reports, position papers, she was involved in the mobilization of grass root women, empowerment, and poverty alleviation and pioneered a radio program tagged ‘WAPA HALF HOUR’ aimed at airing issues bothering on women challenges, RAPE and other Gender Based Violence (GBV). Between 2007 and 2013, Ibironke worked at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Political and Legislative Powers Bureau, Ikeja Local Government (Divisional office) and the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission(LASIEC). Whilst at the Political and Legislative Power Bureau, she worked with the team that institutionalized the EXECUTIVE/ LEGISLATIVE parley, a quarterly interactive conference organized to pull down the barrier between the Executive and the Legislative arms of Government. This also gave birth to the publications- DIVIDENDS OF DEMOCRACY and LEGISLATIVE AWARENESS. Ibironke is an excellent team player with a knack for taking up new challenges; highly analytical mind and well driven attention to details, an individual with excellent communication skills for driving stakeholder engagement who has worked across various parastatals in the Lagos State. When she’s not working, she loves to cook, travel and read articles, biographies and informative books.
