VODA FEASIBILITY STUDY PROGRESS REPORT PRESENTATION

The Office of Public-Private Partnerships joined His Excellency Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, along with other key government stakeholders, for the presentation of VODA Infrastructure Management Limited’s progress report on the feasibility study for the 18-kilometer Alimosho Bypass toll road project.

This report marks a significant milestone in the project’s development, following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on July 8, 2024.

The comprehensive feasibility study evaluates the technical, financial, and operational viability of the proposed Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative—laying the groundwork for the project’s construction and completion.

Key stakeholders in attendance included Mrs. Bukola Odoe, the Special Adviser, Office of Public-Private Partnerships, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN); Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development; Engineer Olufemi Daramola, Special Adviser, Office of Infrastructure; Engineer Lateef Somide, Permanent Secretary, Office of Infrastructure; Engineer Oluwole Sotire, Permanent Secretary, Office of Physical Planning; as well as representatives from the Office of Public-Private Partnerships and other agencies.

Discussions highlighted the project’s progress and its anticipated benefits, including reduced travel time and costs, improved quality of life for Lagos residents, decongestion of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, and increased revenue from road transportation.

This collaborative effort reinforces the Lagos State Government’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure development, ensuring efficient and modern transportation solutions for the state’s growing population.
