The Medical Park is a proposed project to improve Health sector deficit in Lagos State through the Public-Private Partnerships initiative.   The procurement process for the selection of a preferred bidder to develop the Lagos Medical Park commenced on the 28th of February, 2020 with a Request for Expression of Interest published in The Punch and The Nation Newspapers seeking Private investors to develop the Medical Park.     The Medipark is to be built on a single location of 2.1765 hectares at 1-9 Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria ( formerly School of Nursing). The value of the Project Site as evaluated by the Lagos State Valuation Office in conjunction with a group of certified Estate Valuers dated December, 2017 is approximately Four Billion Naira (N4,000,000,000.00).   The project site is Lagos State’s Equity Contribution to the Project, with Construction Period for the Anchor facility in the Medical Park is Twenty-Four (24) months.   The cost implication of Construction has been estimated to be about Sixty Million US Dollars ($60,000,000.00. Concession Period on the Medical Park (Hospital and the Ancillary Facilities) is proposed to be a maximum of Thirty (30) years.   Value Proposition: When operational, the proposed state of the art Medical Park would: Provide access to qualitative healthcare, Increase the overall capacity of the healthcare system in Lagos State, Positively redefine the healthcare experience in the State, Promote Medical tourism in Lagos State, And reduce medical flight.
